name - Charlotte Jemma Bellamy
Charlotte (a common French-derived English diminutive of Charles) for being claimed by the British, Jemma (an old name meaning 'Gem') for her land's bountifulness, and Bellamy (another French-derived English name, meaning 'beautiful friend') for her breathtaking landscapes.
Languages - American English, Spanish, some Chinookan tongue (though it's wearing off).
There is a large Hispanic minority in Oregon, as well as a good amount of Northwestern Native American influence.
Religion - Protestant (supposedly).
Although a large portion of her population is either something else or unaffiliated all together. The largest amount of Old Believers in America live in Oregon and a good population of Muslims inhabit the Portland metro-area, however. She is usually accepting of other's beliefs and really doesn't go to church often, being more on the liberal side.
Sexual Orientation - Bisexual
Although same sex marriage has yet to be legalized in Oregon, there is a good population of LBGT people living there, many of them fighting for their rights.

( As much as I love Oregon, my muse just hasn't been so high for this one. I already have a number of other accounts to manage that are more important to me. If I do ever come back to states, I'll likely go for Minnesota. Most of my family in America is there. u v u
